September 2019 Core Update Now Live
Google pre-announced another broad core algorithm update on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 through its @searchliaison Twitter account. This marks the second time the search giant has pre-announced a core algorithm update. As usual, they didn’t provide any specifics as to what this update is focused on. Instead, they linked to a previous Google Webmaster Central Blog post about core updates from August 1, 2019.
5 and a half hours later, Google posted a follow up Tweet announcing that the “September 2019 Core Update is now live and will be rolling out across our various data centers over the coming days.”
Since this update is rolling out over a period of days, it may be a while before all of the notable effects appear in the SERP. Core updates do not focus on one specific thing, instead they are meant to be adjustments to Google’s overall system. As a result, impacted sites are likely to receive Google’s standard “nothing to fix” advice of making sure to focus on providing their users with useful, high quality content.
However, there are still things you can do to recover from, or prepare for, core updates. Contact Radd Interactive’s team of SEO experts to see how we can help your website today.
